2019 NSW KEY HIGHLIGHTS
AVCRM TESTIMONIALS
Tamworth Regional Council’s GIS section has been using the AVCRM product for 2 years now with great success. The paperless solution allows us to seamlessly manage and track all aspects of our drone operations. AVCRM has provided excellent assistance and facilitated training opportunities for the team.
Ballina Byron Gateway Airport commenced ‘live’ operation of the AVCRM airport operations management system on July 1, 2018; following a couple of months configuring/trialling the software.
To date we have undertaken 836 inspections, 132 Safety Management Reports and 421 wildlife observations. Without doubt, the great ease by which AROs record inspections, incidents and observations via an iPad or tablet, has led to significantly more information being recorded. The requirement for mandatory closure of inspections and incidents requiring further action, has ensured this necessary CASA objective. Storage of AVCRM data in an easily searchable database is a fantastic feature, that allows quick retrieval and analysis of historic information. The flexibility of the system design has also enabled use of the system to be extended to include Security Staff, Ground Handlers, ARFFS (Fire Fighting) Staff and air traffic controllers – ensuring that all activity of note is recorded and available to airport management in real time.
The increased level of observation, review of incidents and follow-up recommendations, has undoubtedly ‘raised the bar’ for our level of safety and risk. The online provision of Airservices’, CASA and even training and personnel data saves times and improves the accuracy of management decision making. Information presented via the dashboard and the Airport Overview together with weather and the document library; all serve to improve the task of airport management and therefore improve risk reduction and safety.
Ballina Byron Gateway Airport is a keen supporter of this very productive software product.
